Thank you, Winters' Well community for amazing flexibility and efficiency in today's unplanned early release! Your response was incredible. All buses are en route and nearly all parent pick up students are home. We will monitor bus lines to make sure all kids are back with their families. Power has been restored and phones are intermittently up and down. School will resume at regular time tomorrow. Thank you.
Buses will be leavingWinters Well for regular route at 1:30 today. Students who regularly take the bus home will be put on their regular routes.
Due to a power outage across Tonopah Winters Well will dismiss at 1:15 for the safety of our staff and students. Transportation is not available at this time. If possible, we are asking all parents to pick up their children at our gym at Winters Well. Thank you for your patience and assistance.

Our first Scorpions Day was a raging success! Students will earn further reward days by keeping absences at 4 or less per quarter, receiving no behavior referrals and passing all classes:










The year's Kickoff Scorpions Day will be tomorrow, Friday, August 28.
All students are invited to participate this first event. Scorpion Days throughout the year will be a reward for students who meet attendance, behavior and academic criteria per Raising Expectations (4 or fewer absences, no office behavior referrals, passing all class subjects.)
Non-ultra-processed snacks will be available for sale on Friday for Scorpions Day.

Along with a letter regarding universal K-3 literacy screening, parents will be receiving a "Parental Strategies for Assisting Your Child" packet. This packet is an invaluable resource for all parents of early readers. If you have ever asked, "What can I do at home?" this guide can support our work at school to best help young readers.

Due to a waterline emergency, all grade levels are now dismissing at Winters Well. Students who are normally Parent pick up will be in the gym following normal procedures for pick up. Buses are leaving at 1:50. Please adjust for pick up time.
There has been a main water line emergency at Winters Well. For the health and safety of our students and staff we will dismiss at 1:30 PM. Parent pick up will be as normal procedures at our gym. Buses will leave campus at 1:45. Please prepare for adjusted drop off times. Thank you for your support and flexibility this afternoon.
